Joe & Kathleen

Getting to know Joe and Kathleen was so much fun. Their engagement session was on a perfect fall evening with perfect weather and lighting. I always take advantage of these engagement sessions to really get to know the couple i'm going to be working with. Joe and Kathleen's story is a unique and beautiful story.

Joe is a 7th grade teacher from Boston, Kathleen is a 4th grade teacher from Kansas city. They both currently live and teach in St. Louis. Joe was teaching his first undergraduate course at St. Louis University and in walks one of his students Kathleen. From that first encounter there was a crush. Their story is filled with dances, dates, a summer apart, some more dates, meeting each others families, Joe proposing to Kathleen in Castlewood state park, to now as they plan out their wedding. I had a great time capturing Joe and Kathleen's engagement photos, here are some of my favorite shots from that evening!
